- This is a 24 hour event (see the schedule above) for one to four person teams.
- You must be 18 or older to participate.
- This is an open hackathon, bring you own project to hack on.
- This event is designed to gather the local programmer community and invite nearby communities (Bay Area, Sacramento, Fresno) to come out and play. We are a very coder friendly event, we will not be dragging you away from your hack for any silly stuff, but will also be offering several fun side events including a game table, and some amazing surprises. Those side events will take place away from the programming area.
- This event will have a Star Wars theme and a prize for the best team Star Wars Cosplay.
- We expect some amazing programmers and designers to show up, but this event is also for the beginning programmer and designer.
- The top ten projects as judged by our judges will be presenting their hacks in our finals. This pre-judging will take place during the final hour of the programming time.
- There will be a pre-hackathon event the week before to explain what this event is all about, give some advice regarding how to form teams, and help you plan your hack. Details are here: https://www.meetup.com/Valley-Software-Developers/events/236337185/
- We plan to record the meetup event and post it on our YouTube channel.
- Meals will be provided for dinner Friday as well as breakfast lunch and dinner on Saturday. We will also be providing snacks and drinks throught the event.
- This is a free event, but we do not have funds for sponsoring travel expenses.
- You will be required to sign a photo release to participate. This allows us and our designees to take and use videos and photos of you during the event.
- Please check our Rules and Code of Conduct page for more info on the specifics of this event.
- Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates.
